The café can be a place for a quick break. But it's also a space where you can recharge, work in peace or just sit back and relax.

It was with this in mind that we created the new interior of Costa Coffee in the centre of Prague. We have paid attention to every detail and the space is both welcoming and functional.

Durable artificial stone checkout counter

with metal details

The illuminated checkout counter immediately catches the eye. The worktop is made of Corian—an artificial stone that has proven itself in interiors thanks to its exceptional durability. The front facing of the counter is made of corrugated metal sheet, and the LED lighting highlights it nicely, creating a striking contrast with the white Corian surface.

Merchandise Surrounded by Expanded Metal and Glass Shelves

To the left of the checkout counter, you might notice the display cabinet featuring the café’s merchandise. We made this cabinet from expanded metal. To ensure it lasts as new for a long time, we applied an additional layer of powder coating for increased durability. The shelves are made of glass. We love this combination because it elegantly showcases the products without drawing attention away from them.

Solid oak and shining coffee beans

If you're picking up your coffee to go, you'll appreciate the handy extras—like sugar, a napkin, or a straw—offered by the solid oak cabinet. When stirring sugar into your coffee, take a moment to admire the illuminated logo right in front of you. The coffee bean logo is made from an MDF backing board, an acrylic logo, and LED strips.

The unconventional second life of beverage packaging

If you decide to sit down with your coffee, you’ll notice the wooden paneling on the walls. The slats are made from oak veneer, and to ensure everything holds perfectly, the wall is lined with pressed cardboard. This clever use of recycled beverage packaging means they don’t end up in a landfill but can continue to serve a purpose.
